The Importance of Performing Arts for Indigenous Children and Youth

In June 2025, phd-student Kuluk Helms participated in The Swedish Performing Arts Biennal in an Indigenous panel talk moderated by Maria Utzi, organized by BIBU. The talk was centred on Indigenous performing arts, their accessibility and the experience of the panelists professional lives as well as their childhood experiences with Indigenous performing arts. The talk began with a thorough introduction of each panelist and their work, and the audience were given the opportunity to ask questions towards the end.
